Conservation Management Plan
In 2016, Staffordshire Archives and Heritage Service in partnership with the William Salt Library Trust, secured funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund for the development of the Staffordshire History Centre.
The Staffordshire History Centre Project will connect people to the collected stories and heritage of Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, the Midlands and beyond. This project aims to get more people involved in the heritage of the ancient county of Staffordshire, to secure the future of a grade II* listed William Salt Library building, improve storage conditions for the collections held at the WSL and Lichfield Record Office and create sufficient space for future collections.
As part of this project work we have commissioned Architectural Heritage Practice to produce a Conservation Management Plan to inform us about the heritage, its significance and how it should be preserved, managed and made available in the future. The PDF documents below form the completed version of the plans.
