Lichfield collections available at Staffordshire Record Office

Posted on Tuesday 8th May 2018

Lichfield Record Office closed to the public on 1 January 2018, and since that date a great deal of hard work by colleagues at both Lichfield Record Office and Staffordshire Record Office has ensured that we are able to make the collections available at Staffordshire Record Office on schedule today.

Some collections will be held at the Service’s outstore in Stafford. Where this is the case our online catalogue “Gateway to the Past” (www.archives.staffordshire.gov.uk) will show that a minimum of two working days’ notice is required for production of documents.  This is also currently the case for some collections held by Staffordshire Record Office.  Staff will also receive training about the collections, so that they can provide appropriate advice to enquirers.  To make a booking please contact: staffordshire.record.office@staffordshire.gov.uk or 01785-278373.
