Staffordshire County Council is pleased to announce the commencement of work on a mixed use development to the North of Stafford.

The Development known as Northfield Village is an innovative community centric project providing housing, care and support which will improve the lives of the people of Stafford.
The development will include:
- Community Hub including a community cafe, community rooms and shops
- 80 apartments for people over 55 with a care need
- A specialist dementia care facility
- A dementia hub
- A replacement GP Surgery and Pharmacy
- Courtyard housing
- General needs housing
- Supported living housing
- A Bio-mass energy centre providing district heating
- A high quality public realm including landscaping and seating
The site has the Stone Road on the West, Co-operative Street to the North and Marston Road to the East.
The Development will connect the East and West sides of the site with a pedestrian boulevard.

Staffordshire County Council is working in partnership with Wrekin Housing Trust and Choices Housing Association, Galliford Try PLC, Stafford Borough Council and Staffordshire PCT Browning Street GP Practice on this exciting development.
The master plan for the development has been produced by Nicol Thomas Architects.

The regeneration of this land has attracted a significant sum of external funding including Homes and Community Agency grant funding and Growth Point funding.
The grants funding comes with strict deadlines of when it can be claimed therefore the programme to deliver this large development is very tight and work has already commenced on site.
