Foster Carers and Adopters Needed!

You can foster or adopt and make a difference

We are recruiting foster carers and adopters right now, across Staffordshire!

If you are over 21 and have a spare bedroom you can enquire online now and start your fostering or adoption journey.

You can also ring 0800 169 2061 and talk to our recruitment team and we will send you an information pack.

If you already foster for an independant foster agency and are considering joining Staffordshire, then please contact 0800 169 2061

Do you want to adopt your step-children?

If you wish to adopt your partner's children so that you become their legal parent and share parental responsibility for them, this is called step-parent adoption.

Adoption is not necessarily appropriate in all step-parent situations. The local authority has a duty to investigate the circumstances and prepare and present a report of their findings to Court.

Is your child living with another family? Are you looking after somebody else's child?

Then you could be involved in private fostering.

This is when a child or young person under 16 years old (or 18 if they have a disability) is looked after for 28 days or more by someone who is not a close relative, guardian or person with parental responsibility. Close relatives include parents, step-parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
