Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy

Following extensive public consultation in 2007, the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Municipal Waste Strategy was completed and published together with the Zero Waste Strategy 2020. 

Since this time, advances in the waste management industry, amendments to legislation and changing national priorities required a revised approach for Staffordshire. Local Authorities across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent have collaborated to produce a refreshed Joint Waste Management Strategy, setting out the direction for Waste Management in Staffordshire up to 2020 and retained the Zero Waste objective. The refreshed document was written in 2013 to create additional outcomes for the remaining years of the Waste Management Strategy, with all documents and reports available to download or read on-line:
