''Situated in the heart of Cannock Chase Country Park|||, this purpose built Education Centre provides an ideal location for all your educational needs.

Since its opening in August 2000, many different organisations have taken advantage of the superb facilities and the beautiful surroundings.

Facilities

Funded by Staffordshire County Council, the Staffordshire Environmental Fund and Natural England, the Centre is fully equipped and is complemented by the Cannock Chase Visitor Centre and café which provides a wide range of hot and cold meals and snacks.

Rooms

The Centre consists of 2 large rooms having comfortable seating capacity for 30 people in each room. If the weather is fine, why not use the picnic tables in the secure outdoor area?

Room Hire Costs

Half day session: £40

Full day session: £80

Refreshments £2.40 per person

The Ranger Service

The Ranger Service will provide the appropriate number of trained, knowledgeable staff who are experienced in dealing with school parties. Staff will tailor your visit to suit your specific requirements by prior arrangement and all the work done is related to the National Curriculum. The Ranger Service, as a part of the County Council, has a comprehensive Safety Policy and appropriate briefings are given to pupils on each visit.

Some examples of the activities provided includes:

  • Pond dipping
  • Mini-beasts
  • Bushcraft

Hire Costs
(School visits are charged per pupil):

  • £3.00 per pupil (within Staffordshire County Council).
  • £3.50 per pupil (outside of SCC & non-LEA schools)
