More primary school places for Burton
Access to a good education is an essential part of growing up healthy, independent and able to get a good job.
In the next 15 years, there will be children across Burton needing around 1,600 additional primary school places and around 2,600 additional secondary school places.
The county council is working with schools and East Staffordshire Borough Council Planning Officers to ensure that every child in Burton has a place at a local school when they need one.
Over the next fifteen years, we expect to invest a further £28 million in primary school places, which could potentially include four new primary schools, depending on the timing of proposed housing developments.
By taking bold and decisive action and investing in Burton’s schools, we will ensure that parents and pupils have choice when it comes to education and will continue to be able to access a good education, in a first class school, close to home.
As each proposal develops we will present new information on these pages. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, or have other questions or comments please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to help you.
