Following changes made in the Children and Families Act 2014, We must ensure there is sufficient childcare in the county and show our committment at local level requirements.
We must report annually to elected members on childcare sufficiency and also make the most recent summary report available to the public.
The full 2014 assessment looked into the childcare demand in the county, the future market, costs, availability and quality of childcare as well as planning applications that will impact locally. This was reviewed and refreshed in 2016 and 2017.
