Crowdfund Staffordshire

What is Crowdfund Staffordshire?

Crowdfund Staffordshire is a new fundraising platform for people interested in raising money to help their local community. Any local charity, business, social enterprise or individual can use Crowdfund Staffordshire to unlock funding from the crowd and turn their great ideas into reality. The platform provides a new way for communities to take action about the local causes they care about and support each other. Seventy-five percent of Staffordshire residents regularly donate to good causes and this platform helps organisations showcase their projects to thousands of people across the county.

How will it benefit people in Staffordshire

Crowdfund Staffordshire’ will give people in the county a way turn their great ideas into reality – by unlocking funding from the crowd.Thousands of people are already getting involved in supporting their local community, which is making a huge difference, but the county council know that hundreds more groups have great ideas, but need more money to get them off the ground – that’s why Crowdfund Staffordshire is here.

This is one of the ways that we’re helping local people with the tools they need to take action on the local issues that are important to them. Over 75% of Staffordshire residents regularly donate to good causes and over £30m has been raised for projects across the country through Crowdfuner UK already.

£50,000 'Children and Families Fund'

Staffordshire County Council has set aside a £50,000 ‘Children and Families Fund’ to help provide extra funding to projects that focus on the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children and families.

The funding aims to support eligible organisations or individuals with the money they need to help improve the independence and wellbeing of vulnerable families, and avoid the problems that might mean they rely on social care and health services in the future.

Projects that help vulnerable families to remain independent and capture the support and imagination of local people could be eligible for up to £5,000 extra funding from the ‘Children and Families Fund.’
