Health and safety support
Staffordshire County Council’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing Service offers expert consultancy, advice and guidance across a broad range of strategic and operational areas. Our qualified teams support over 400 schools and academies with responsive, value-for-money services tailored to the education sector.
Our Services
- Health and Safety – SLA includes competent advisor support, risk assessments, audits, incident investigation, training, and access to our online portal and stress survey tool.
- Occupational Health – Nurse-led service with access to a physician. Includes pre-employment screening, sickness absence management, return-to-work planning, and disability advice.
- Counselling (ThinkWell) – Confidential support via self-referral or management referral. Includes trauma counselling and early intervention services.
- Design & Technology Support – Annual machinery inspections, repairs, and advice on compliance with BS:4163:2014. Includes LEV testing under COSHH regulations.

Services are available via annual contracts or Pay As You Use (PAYU), including:
