Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Newcastle South electoral division in June 2009. 

My division lies in the south of Newcastle borough and includes the wards of Clayton and Seabridge and part of the wards of Town and Westlands and covers approximately 487 hectares with a population of 14,954.

Special Responsibilities 

I was Vice-Chairman of Corporate Review until August 2018. I was appointed as Chairman of the Staffordshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel in August 2018.

£500.00:Funding towards hire of gazebo, first aid, ceramic paints, printing and publicity to create with the help of a local potter, local school, charity schops and community groups who will create an image of the mascot, a scarecrow as part of the Scarecrow festival weekend for the community.

Newcastle and Hartshill Cricket Club 

£1,993.00:Funding towards a mobile batting cage to be used weekly by 60 children of the junior academy training sessions to aid cricket development and ensure safeguarding of the children.

Lyme Racing Club

£450.00:Funding towards 8 children track bikes for use at the weekly Velodrome training sessions keeping children fit and healthy, a good diversionary interest and cycling from an early age often leads to competitive riding.

Newcastle South Locality Action Partnership Aspire Housing

£500.00:Funding towards a Health Event in Clayton to promote and create awareness of NHS Services, offer ‘Warm Packs’ and bring to together vulnerable/older generation to alleviate isolation.

The Rotary Club of Newcastle under Lyme

£250.00:Funding towards Room Hire, St John’s Ambulance, Entertainment, Food, Drink, Tablecloths, Napkins, Cutlery, Beakers, Plates, Bowls, Decoration, Kitchen Supplies, Carol Sheets, Cloakroom Tickets, Bingo materials and Cash Prizes to hold a Christmas Party for the lonely Snr Citizens residing in the borough of Newcastle.

Newcastle Lads and Dads

£500.00:30 year lease for the self-management of the facility at Pool Dam Playing Fields, giving the club the opportunity to improve the facilities and benefit the local community.

London Road Bowling Club

£1,000.00:Funding towards the removal of the old Kitchen units and sink, prepare and re-plaster walls and ceilings and install new units and sink, new worktops and paint walls and ceiling.

Newcastle District Scouts 

£1,000.00: Funding towards the cost of a Marquee and equipment hire and outdoor equipment to develop the outdoor activity programme in the district and to bring together over 500 scouts of all ages from the borough, in a large whole district camp.

Aspire Housing 

150.00: Funding towards craft materials, Refreshments, Christmas decorations, music and raffle for the community Christmas event.

St. Mary's Nursery

£980.00:Funding to purchase sensory garden plants, materials for garden path, screening materials, paint and wooden trunk seating to improve the outdoor area.
