Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Newcastle Rural electoral division in May 2017. 

My division lies in the south west of the Newcastle-under-Lyme borough and includes the wards of Loggerheads and Whitmore and Madeley and part of the ward of Halmerend and covers approximately 12315 with a population of 12,346.

£1,000.00:Funding towards Football training equipment, training kit and promotional leaflets to set up Wildcats Girls football team for girls aged between 5-11.

The Willoughbridge Garden Trust

£2,303.95:Funding to install a hearing loop system for the charity Dorothy Clive Gardens to improve inclusivity for all visitors, used by quest speakers, committee meetings in the pavilion used for weddings and workshops run by volunteers on a wide range of topics, walk and talk tours would also enable visitors to engage by using the lanyard based loop system.

Chapel and Hill Chorlton Parish Council

£600.00:Funding towards installation of a community defibrillator in an adopted BT phone box by the village green in Chapel Chorlton.

Loggerheads and District Befrienders

£300.00:Funding towards 30 sets of 0.5kg dumbbells, 30 gymnic soft gym exercise balls, 6 sets of cheerleading pomp oms and 30 latex free lightweight exercise bands to support fun mobility sessions conducted by trained and qualified befrienders.

1st Loggerheads Guides

£600.00:Funding towards 25 badge books, 25 G-files, 20 Hoodies, 3 camping beds, camping pegs and a tent for a camping trip to France.

Betley Cricket Club

£1,500.00:Funding to purchase a new digital scorebox that will bring the current scoring system into the 21st century, this will enable them to host more junior matches in 2019.

Hugo Meynall Primary School

£1,296.00:Funding towards a children’s Double Cross Country Skier, T’ai Chi Spinners, Seater leg Press, Air Skier, Hip Twister and Cardio Combi to equip a section of the school grounds with an outdoor gym area that can be used by the children at the school and by the local community groups like Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, the cubs and scouts.
