Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Churnet Valley electoral division on 7 July 2011.  

My division lies in the south of Staffordshire Moorlands and includes the wards of Cheddleton, Churnet, Cheadle North East and Alton and part of the wards of Leek East and Leek South and covers approximately 9435 hectares with a population of 11,656.

£500.00: Funding towards toilets and insurance for the free festival bringing the community together.

£400.00: Funding towards the hire of the Oakamoor site, marquee, traffic lights and toilet facilities, registration fee, signage and promotion for the Hill Climb fundraising event for the Clubs for young people charity.

Oakamoor Bowling Club

£500.00: Funding towards cladding the back of the bowling club.

Staffs Moorlands RBL No 4 Group

£500.00: Funding towards a visit to Battlefields to help ex-service members.

Cheddleton Carnival Committee

£950.00: Funding towards the hire of a Marquee for the carnival.

Kingsley Village Hall

£250.00: Funding towards replacement of 10 planter barrels, compost, plants and seeds tended by local residents and to improve the local community.

Cheddleton Flint Mill Industrial Heritage Trust

£750.00: Funding towards an investigation dig, initial survey, ground tech investigations, target fixing, underpinning works and project management on behalf of the Trust to enable the trust to continue to provide a museum for the public.

Kingsley Gardeners Association

£200.00: Funding towards display tables and picture display boards for the annual show held in the village hall.

Cotton Parish Council

£200.00: Funding towards the cost of WWI Commemoration including school competition prizes, food and raffle prizes.

RBL Cheddleton Branch

£750.00: Funding towards a sponsored bike ride from London to Ypres and a musical evening with a pie supper.
