Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Stafford Central electoral division in May 2013.  

My division lies in the south of Stafford Borough and includes the wards of Littleworth and parts of the wards of Forebridge, Penkside and Coton covers approximately 568 hectares with a population of 14,469.

Friends of Stafford Samaritans

£500.00: Funding towards the refurbishment of the kitchen and bathroom in the centre for volunteers to work in a safe and comfortable environment to offer support and help the local community who contact the branch.

Beamstaffs

£1,500.00: Funding of mini bus hire, fuel and entrance fees to venues for clients on low incomes with learning difficulties, being socially excluded and to encourage them to make informed choices of the support they require and to develop their own natural skills and talents and to address the problems with a series of events to include outdoor interests, activities and exercise, days out and social activities.

St John’s Primary Academy

£500.00: Funding towards a solar PV system on the roof of the school improving energy measures bringing benefits on electricity consumption, income on feed in tariff and educational benefits to the children which will take various forms to include the Eco-Club.

Sustainability Matters in Stafford Borough

£500.00: Funding towards administration and attendance of organiser, venue, face painting art, crafts and banner for the repair café as part of reducing the amount of waste and to assist those on budgets bringing communities together with a team of local repairers and seamstresses for the community of Littleworth.

Old Chapel Works

£750.00: Funding towards heavy wood sleepers for benches and raised beds, hire of specialist digging kit, wood screws, nails for sensory wall, daisy wall, insect hotel seeds, veggies and fertiliser, poster and flyers and refreshments for volunteers, workshop events and to clearing the disused area into a relaxing spot with bench and building raised beds to plant vegetables and run a horticulture outdoor classroom workshops.

Rotary Club of Stafford Knot

£500.00: Funding of room hire and appropriate support for each sessions in August to meet the particular needs of the young people attending to help them to develop their skills taking photos and to create art work like making animations to improve health and skills for their future independence for the summer holiday programme for young people.

Stafford and District Bereavement and Loss Support Service

£500.00: Funding towards volunteer training and support to increase the number of people that can be supported within the community.

National Autistic Society

£500.00: Funding for admissions fees for a day trip to Splash Landings waterpark for 50 autistic children to access a summer trip in a safe and supported social environment.

Choice Recovery

£500.00: Funding of a desktop PC and towards DBS checks to cover staff and volunteers in providing an aftercare service for people recovering from substance, alcoholism or mental health issues.

The Saints Residents Association £500.00: Funding of a bird table and bath, plants for wildlife garden, insect house, parasols and tables for the community garden.
Kerala Association Stafford £250.00: Funding towards hall hire for the community group who actively work for the welfare of its members to interact, express themselves for their social and mental wellbeing through traditional dance classes, cultural events, language and sporting events.
Staffordshire Women's Aid £500.00: Funding towards professional fees for the Heritage Opera for the delivery of workshops and an arts project linked to Stafford Castle performance at the opera Carmen.
Stafford Division Guides £500.00: Funding towards the cost of an application of a cold tar layer which will seal the whole roof and repair the damage that was caused by the winter storm to the Headquarters hut that is used by all Stafford Groups.
