I was elected as county councillor for the Brewood division in May 2013. 

My division lies in the north of South Staffordshire district and includes the wards of Brewood and Coven and Wheaton Aston, Bishopswood and Lapley and part of the wards of Penkridge West, Penkridge South East (Gailey parish ward), Huntington and Hatherton (Hatherton Parish) and Penkridge North East and Acton Trussell and covers approximately 14480 hectares with a population of 12,625

£350.00: Funding of ‘Chelsea’s Choice’ an innovative and powerful production highlighting the serious and emotional issue of child sexual exploitation raising awareness for young people giving them skills and knowledge to protect themselves from this form of abuse.

Friends of Barnfield Sandbeds

£350.00: Funding of native British wild flowers and bulbs for the enhancement of the 15 acre Barnfields public access green space.

Community Link Stafford and District

£250.00: Funding towards community link bus shoppers service for people with poor mobility to include wheelchair users to continue the bus service in the short term for Ten Butts, Hyde Lea, Coppenhall, Lodgefield Park and the Saltings within Stafford.

Bishops Wood Community Fund

£500.00: Funding towards Live Music, Fireworks and portable Toilets for the Proms in the Paddock.:

£500.00: Funding towards the purchase and installation of a sign post for Primrose Close Play Park for the benefit of all users.

Family Action South Staffs

£125.00: Funding towards printing and information materials, storage boxes, tuff spots, mini book of ideas, resources for district box, replenish stock and marketing a wide approach to improve the outcomes set to improve various early years community groups, families and children of pre - school age to enhance the children’s centre services and enable vulnerable families to access quality which will help with children to become school ready.

Penkridge and District Community 1st Responders

£500.00: Funding towards 5 Paramedic type hi viz blouson to help ensure the health and safety of volunteer community responders assisting local people during serious emergency incidents.

Brewood Middle School

£350.00: Funding towards 2 x cast members production called Chelsea’s Choice to Year 8 students highlighting the very serious and emotional issue of CSE.

Wheaton Aston Carnival Association

£200.00: Funding towards the insurance to have a stall at the Christmas fayre.

2nd Brewood Scout Group 

£250.00: Funding to purchase and install a heated, locked box to house the defibrillator on an external wall of the club, giving access to all at all times.

Friends of Barnfields Sandbeds

£200.00: Funding towards the purchase of heavy duty wheelbarrow, pond dipping trays and laminated pond life charts and wild flower bulbs/plants for spring 2019 planting.

Cannock Cricket Club

£438.00: Funding to purchase and install a heated, locked box to house the defibrillator on an external wall of the club, giving access to all at all times.

Brewood and Coven Parish Council

£400.00: Funding towards the hire of a Gully emptying machine and a driver for one day to empty approximately 25 gullies in the parish area.

Brewood Cricket Club

£200.00: Funding towards 4 Volunteers to be first aid trained, 1 volunteer to attend level 2 coaching course and 2 volunteers to be trained as coach support worker to help with the increased number attended the club.

Brewood Best Kept Village

£580.00: Funding towards planning permission, oak post, concrete, decorative carving and 2 plaques to show Brewood’s past and hopefully future successes in the Community Foundation for Staffordshire’s Best Kept Village competition.

Brewood Royal British Legion

£1,000.00: Funding to position a bespoke memorial bench and standing soldier statue to commemorate 100 years since the ending of the first world war.

Family Action

£1,279.27: Funding to support the delivery of our Children’s Centre Volunteer led sessions enabling them to provide free of charge early learning opportunities to families locally helping children to become school ready whilst providing their own networks of support also providing good quality, district specific, information, advice and guidance for families with improved knowledge of what they can access to make families healthier and more independent.
