Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Cheadle and Checkley electoral division in May 2013. 

My division lies in the south of Staffordshire Moorlands and includes the wards of Cheadle South East, Cheadle West and Checkley and covers approximately 5611 hectares with a population of 14,204.

£500.00: Funding of entertainment, inflatables, climbing wall, marquee, PA system, first aid, publicity, band, music as part of the Party in the Park community event.

Staffordshire Association of Clubs for Young People

£250.00: Funding towards the hire of the Oakamoor site, marquee, traffic lights and toilet facilities, registration fee, signage and promotion for the Hill Climb fundraising event for the Clubs for young people charity.

St Margaret's Church

£400.00: Funding towards the footpath lighting, downlighter lights, control equipment and cabling to the side of the church.

Checkley Community Centre

£1,000.00: Funding of emergency lighting system following an emergency fire safety report for the community centre.

Cheadle in Bloom

£500.00: Funding of new planters, troughs, baskets summer and winter plants, watering, insurance, compost, postage, stationery and sundries to enhance the appearance of the main approach roads to the town centre with the help of Cheadle in Bloom volunteers who provides and maintains floral displays for the community and which also attracts and welcomes visitors.

Cheadle Cricket Club

£900.00: Funding towards the installation and refurbishment of new bar facilities at the cricket club.

Challenge Churchill Road

£900.00: Funding towards darts and a falconer display as part of the Challenge Churchill Road 11th festival for the community.

Charlie Bassets FC

£1,500.00: Funding towards new football kits, provide training equipment and equipment to help maintain the pitch for a new football club being set up.

Checkley Parish Council 

£1,500.00: Funding to buy 3 heavy duty picnic benches for the play area as the old ones had to be removed due to health and safety.
