Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Stafford North electoral division in May 2017.  

My division lies in the centre of Stafford Borough and includes the wards of Common, Holmcroft and Common and part of the wards of Tillington and Coton and covers approximately 528 hectares with a population of 13,842.

£250.00:Funding towards the refurbishment of the kitchen and bathroom in the centre for volunteers to work in a safe and comfortable environment to offer support and help the local community who contact the branch.

Girls Venture Corps Air Cadets

£900.00:Funding of air cadet members attending activities, cost of mini bus hire to include fuel for events and members uniforms.

Au-SUMS

£250.00:Funding for the registration of ASDAN centre for 2 years, courses , workshops, course booklets, resources for approx. 20 learners, sensory items for sensory room, delivery of sessions and activities for children and young people 7-17 years with autism spectrum conditions and their families and to work towards ASDAN awards.

Stafford Players

£500.00:Funding towards room hire for theatre and rehearsals, performance rights, production, publicity, printing and scripts for the November performance in providing a high standard of amateur theatre to audiences at Stafford gatehouse Theatre.

Sustainability Matters in Stafford Borough

£300.00:Funding towards administration and attendance of organiser, venue, face painting art, crafts and banner for the repair café as part of reducing the amount of waste and to assist those on budgets brining communities together with a team of local repairers and seamstresses for the community of Holmcroft.

Cerebral Palsy Mid Staffordshire

£250.00:Funding towards the removal of and installation of new electric heaters for the refurbishment of the disabled Holiday Bungalow located in Wales and run by the charity organisation for disabled Staffordshire residents and their families.

Marsh and Hopton Residents

£900.00:Funding towards 12 Singers and food for the social evenings plus coach hire for the daytrips.

Tillington Manor Primary School

£500.00:Funding towards Books, Furniture/book cases, soft furnishing and games to enhance the resources in The Hive.

Stafford Brigades Youth Marching Band

£300.00:Funding towards the purchase of 3 light weight marching bells, so that the younger cadets can take part in things such as parades and carnivals.

Stafford Division Guides

£300.00:Funding towards the cost of an application of a cold tar layer which will seal the whole roof and repair the damage that was caused by the winter storm to the Headquarters hut that is used by all Stafford Division Groups.

The Youth Net

£500.00: Funding towards the SPEAK UP project that goes into schools supporting and facilitating weekly debating clubs over the year, costs for trophies and training for the youth workers.

Action Parkside

£150.00:Funding towards the purchase of a new Gazebo to replace the damaged one which is used for events in the community.

Holmcroft Youth and Community Centre 

£500.00:Funding towards progressive sports coaching session and equipment for the youth club, 2 singers, craft items and taxi for the luncheon club.

Community Link Stafford and District 

£700.00:Funding towards the community link bus service for Lodgefield Park and Dial a Ride in the North of Stafford.

St Peter's Pre-School and Nursery 

£58.80:Funding to replace the existing play area which includes a large wooden train as this has become unsafe due to wear and tear and to add road markings, this will allow the children to experience more outdoor activities, keeping them fit and healthy and building their gross motor skills. A balancing wall mirror for the baby room which has a bar across that assists babies in pulling themselves up.

Stafford and Rugeley Sea Cadets

£241.20:Funding towards a family pack of CPR training Manikins including Little Anne, Little Junior and Baby Anne in order to train young people in CPR.

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

£900.00:Funding to install a community noticeboard outside the Holmcroft Community-Managed Library for publicising the work and activities of the library and to display community notices.
