Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Stafford Trent Valley electoral division in May 2017.  I previously represented the Stafford South East division from June 2009. 

My division lies in the east of Stafford borough and includes the ward of Chartley, Haywood and Hixon and Milford and part of the wards of Weeping Cross and Baswich covering approximately 11376 hectares with a population of 13,053.

£250.00: Funding towards the refurbishment of the kitchen and bathroom in the centre for volunteers to work in a safe and comfortable environment to offer support and help the local community who contact the branch.

Brocton Parish Council

£795.00: Funding towards the purchase and installation of a defibrillator to benefit the whole community.

Colwich Parish in Bloom

£500.00: Funding towards plants and materials for flower beds and containers at various locations throughout the village.

Stowe by Chartley Parish Council

£950.00: Funding towards the provision of a housing needs assessment and publicity materials for meetings to identify and support housing needs surveys to commission an assessment to involve the whole parish and deliver the results of the survey for the communities hourins needs.

Community Link Stafford and District

£250.00: Funding towards community link bus shoppers service for people with poor mobility to include wheelchair users to continue the bus service in the short term for Ten Butts, Hyde Lea, Coppenhall, Lodgefield Park and the Saltings within Stafford.

Salt and Enson Parish Council

£400.00: Funding towards a new community noticeboard, fitting and drawing, completion and printing of a village map.

Old Chapel Works

£150.00: Funding towards heavy wood sleepers for benches and raised beds, hire of specialist digging kit, wood screws, nails for sensory wall, daisy wall, insect hotel seeds, veggies and fertiliser, posters and flyers and refreshments for volunteers, workshop events and to clearing the disused area into a relaxing spot with bench and building raised beds to plant vegetables and run horticultural outdoor classroom workshops.

Rotary Club of Stafford Knot

£250.00: Funding of room hire and appropriate support for each session in August to meet the particular needs of the young people attending to help them to develop their skills taking photos and to create art work like making animations to improve health and skills for their future independence for the summer holiday programme for young people.

St. Peter's School PTFA - Hixon

£500.00: Funding towards stage 2 outdoor activities for children aged 4 - 6 years to have fun, to help to give a positive attitude to physical activities and mental wellbeing. 

Cerebral Palsy Mid Staffordshire

£250.00: Funding towards the removal of and installation of new electric heaters for the refurbishment of the disabled Holiday Bungalow located in Wales and run by the charity organisation for disabled Staffordshire residents and their families.

Salt Village Hall 

£790.00: Funding towards the installation of a hearing loop to enable those with a hearing impairment enjoy a better experience at the events. 

Stafford Riverway Link

£200.00: Funding towards cement, ballast steel, weldmesh, timber materials for work and equipment hire to complete the connection with the Staffs & Worcs Canal and the town centre of Stafford for Stage 1 to complete the basin at Baswich which will also provide a footpath through a wildlife area to town.

Milford Hall Cricket Club

 £1,000.00: Funding towards the costs of replacing the showers and toilets, redecoration of toilet walls, tiles, non slip flooring, white boards for the changing room and redecorating of the changing rooms.

Family Action

 £1,000.00: Funding towards Printing and information materials, Storage Boxes, Tuff Spots, Mini book of ideas, Resources per box per district, replenishing of stock and marketing for the community crates fun.

St Peter's Pre School and Nursery

 £333.00: Funding to replace the existing play area which includes a large wooden train as this has become unsafe due to wear and tear and to add road markings, this will allow the children to experience more outdoor activities, keeping them fit and healthy and building their gross motor skills. A balancing wall mirror for the baby room which has a bar across that assists babies in pulling themselves up.
