Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Stone Rural electoral division in May 1997.  

My division lies in the north east of Stafford District and includes the wards of Barlaston, and Oulton, Fulford and Milwich and part of the ward of Walton and covers approximately 10804 with a population of 13,197.

£550.00: Funding of tickets, correspondence, stationery, photocopying, entertainer, publicity, posters, leaflets and extension of existing PA system, speaker cable and connectors for a concert performance by international renowned soprano with guest tenor an opportunity for people of the surrounding area to experience and enjoy live music at St Francis church a venue for large audiences, the event will also inform the community about other groups and organisation in the parish to provide social needs of the area.

£500.00: Funding towards hire of village hall for monhly meetings, guess speakers and transport for 2 outings.

Barlaston Cricket Club

£600.00: Funding towards hire PA equipment and compere, ticket printing, posters, musicians and hire of portable stage for the Barlaston 'B' Festival.

Christ Church Hilderstone Parochial Church Council

£1,000.00: Funding towards the relocating the war memorial, font and pew frontal to provide access to all in the church including disabled access.

£500.00: Funding towards two gateway signs displaying 30mph to be installed on Hilderstone Road to slow the traffic in a built up area close to a school.

Chebsey Parish Council

£250.00: Funding towards display materials for the schools, youth club, community groups to make things for the WW1 series of commemorative events to mark 100 yrs.

Barlaston Cricket Club

£200.00: Funding towards 2 people attending UKCC Level 2 coaching young children’s courses and 2 people gaining a Coach Support worker qualification, as the number of children joining has increased and there needs to be more qualified coaches to train them.

Christ Church Hilderstone PCC £1,000.00: Funding to implement phase 3 including architects fees to design and implement refurbishment of external side door, breakthrough into the baptistery, relocate radiator and pipework plus electrics and make good and decorate and provide raised pathway from car park to provide disabled and young children's access as part of an overall project to enable more inclusion in the community.
St Nicholas Church, Fulford £2,000.00: Funding towards restoration and repair of the War Memorial which stands in the churchyard.
