Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Kidsgrove electoral division in May 2017  

My division lies in the north of Newcastle under Lyme borough and includes the wards of, Kidsgrove, Newchapel and Ravenscliffe and covers approximately 994 hectares with a population of 14,673.

Gailey Centre Indoor Bowls Club

£500.00: Funding towards new bowl mat to cater for extra people to keep healthy and socially active in the community.

Tom Lowe Boxing Club

£500.00: Funding of 8 competition gloves, 12 various size punchbags, 4 headguards, 2 jumbo curved spar pads and 10 bag mitts, sparring for the amateur boxing club.

Mow Cop Commuters

£1,000.00: Funding to provide twice weekly bus service for vulnerable residents who have no car or family and have become isolated to enable those residents to get to the Doctors, Post Office and shops for everyday items which promotes the wellbeing of the inhabitants of Dale Green, Mow Cop, Harriseahead and Newchapel.

Lyme Racing Club

£450.00: Funding towards 8 children's track bikes for use at the weekly Velodrome training sessions keeping children fit and healthy, a good diversionary interest and cycling from an early age often leads to competitive riding.

Kidsgrove and District Pensioners Association

£700.00: Funding of marketing flyers, posters, activity and entertainment to support 14 local young people from Kidsgrove to produce and develop their own event to reach 500 people for the arts programme activity, performances and content giving them greater resources to realise their ambitions and providing a richer quality event for the local area at the New Vic Theatre with partners in creative learning.

Sporting Communities Galley Centre Youth Club

Funding towards 2 coaches over 16 weeks, project co-ordination and monitoring and evaluation over 16 weeks, equipment, venue hire for 16 weeks and marketing to help expand the Youth Club time so that there can be a club for under 11's and to cover the under 14's to allow more children to attend.

Kidsgrove Town Centre CIC

£470.00: Funding towards craft materials and promotional materials for the lantern making workshops in conjunction with the community lantern parade as part of the Christmas lights switch on.

Kidsgrove Sports Centre Community Group

£470.00: Funding towards netball posts 4 x counter balance football goal weights, soft matting for sports hall use, netballs and bibs.

Stoke and Newcastle CAP Debt Centre

£150.00: Funding towards room hire at the Hub to be able to run a CAP Money Course which will benefit anybody regardless of age, background or social status.
