I was first elected as County Councillor for the Chadsmoor electoral division in May 1985.  

My division lies in the west of Cannock Chase and includes the wards of Cannock North and Cannock East and covers approximately 3.50 hectares with a population of 12,663.

£900.00: Funding towards purchase and fitting of a blue plaque, Theatre Group Presentation, Church hall hire and food, publicity and stationery to commemorate 50 years since Sydney Barnes was buried in Cannock together with a theatre reading on his life in Chadsmoor and his work for County Council.

Pye Green Christian Church

£750.00: Funding towards a desktop computer, printer and training volunteers, to enable to them to stay open late to meet the needs of the community by having an out of hours crisis support centre.

Spectrum Residents Association

£500.00: Funding towards timber and fitting of new bench seats at the park in Chadsmoor.

Chadsmoor Community Trust

£3,500.00: Funding to purchase, erection and removal of three Christmas trees, materials for community tree decorations and lighting event for the community spirit.

Cannock Ex-Servicemen’s Choir

£450.00: Funding of trays and stands, coloured sands, sew and lace cards, pens, paints, aprons, painting pods, magic writers, doodle mats, dinosaur play sets, chairs, ride on toys and balance bikes for disadvantaged children to enjoy messy play with their friends.

Staffordshire Regimental Association Hednesford Branch

£1,000.00: Funding towards the take over of the Chadsmoor War Memorial from Chadsmoor Community Trust securing the continued usage for future years.

Carers Association South Staffordshire

£100.00: Funding towards room hire, refreshments, resources including food, pedometers, hydration bottles etc, promotional flyers and outside trainers/speakers to hold 6 sessions designed to increase nutritional understanding, basic cooking skills and household management capabilities to provide support for male carers who have just taken on their caring responsibilities.

Carers Association South Staffordshire

£200.00: Funding to design, production and print of a two-sided colour A5 leaflet that will summarise the support that is available and contact details of local providers, this will enable carers of dementia to get the right support at the right time and place.
