I was first elected as County Councillor for the Penkridge electoral division in May 2013.  

My division lies in the north east of South Staffordshire. The division includes the part of the wards of Penkridge North East and Acton Trussell, Penkridge West (the part of the ward East of the railway line), Penkridge South East and Huntington and Hatherton (the parish of Huntington) and covers approximately 4335 hectares with a population of 12,625.

Special Responsibilities

I was the Chairman of the Staffordshire Police and Crime Panel until August 2018. I am now Vice-Chairman of Corporate Review Committee.

£350.00: Funding of 'Chelsea's Choice' an innovative and powerful production highlighting the serious and emotional issue of child sexual exploitation raising awareness for young peole giving them skills and knowledge to protect themselves from of abuse.

Katherine House Hospice

£250.00: Funding towards the replacement of a single door with a glazed double door to expand and improve exisiting pavements to enable the patients to stay in their beds and to be wheeled to the safety point at the rear of the car park in event of a fire or emergency.

Stafford Childminder Support Network

£1,000.00: Funding towards promotional materials, learning resources and Forest school training to offer peer support of childminder's to promote the care, education and support of children and families and offer Stay and Play sessions for childminder's and children offering advice, support on developmental issues and in choosing a childminder, promote links to other agencies and buddy support sessions to be held at MOD Stafford at Dixon Centre Nature Garden.

Family Action South Staffs

£125.00: Funding towards printing and information materials, storage boxes, tuff spots, mini bookd of ideas, resources for district box, replenish stock and marketing a wide approach to improve the outcomes set to improve various early years community groups, families and children of pre-school age to enhance the children's centre services and enable vulnerable families to access quality which will help with children to become school ready.

Penkridge Juniors Under 11's FC

£1,250.00: Funding towards new football kits and training tops to help keep the club going.

Penkridge and District Community First Responders

£500.00: Funding towards the costs fo a Terrafix responder system including installation and security, to ensure the volunteer community responders are able to find and be directed accurately to locations of emergency.

Penkridge and District Community 1st RE

£500.00: Funding towards certification costs for up to 34 trainees, training materials, AED items, bandages and cleaning items for training aid and refreshments.

Brewood Middle School

£350.00: Funding towards 2 x cast members production called Chelsea's Choice to Year 8 students highlighting the very serious and emotional issue of CSE.

Wedges Mills Village Hall Committee

£3,000.00: Funding towards development of hall and grounds, a speed indication device, a secure cargo container, an electric Stihl strimmer, leaf blower, hedge trimmer and electric lawn mower.

Family Action

£175.00: Funding to support the delivery of our Children's Centre Volunteer led sessons enabling them to provide free of charge early learning opportunities to families locally helping children to become school ready whilst providing their own networks of support also providing good quality, district specific information, advice and guidance for families with improved knowledge of what they can access to make families healhier and more independent.
