Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Lichfield City South electoral division in May 2017.  

My division lies in the centre of Lichfield district and includes the wards of Leomansley and St. John’s and covers approximately 3.10 square miles with a population of 8,989 (taken from the 2001 census).

Erasmus Darwin Foundation

£400.00: Funding of consultant development training programme, literature and guides for current and future volunteers, leaflets, promotional material, pull up banners, volunteers expenses for courses, volunteer fayres and promotional events to encourage new volunteers, external training courses annd skills workshops for Erasmus Darwin House Museum.

St Mary's Lichfield

£433.06: Funding towards 14,000 photographs to be re-digitalised to include cinefilm and video clips in the new museum at St. Mary's with training workshops for the delivery of St Mary's 'Beyond our Walls' outreach project with a team of volunteers to also take the collection into the community and past family history such memories play a significant role in one's sense of personal identity and this kind of activity also contributes to people's wellbeing experiencing memory loss and their carers for all to share the vital part of the city's archives with the community and visiting tourists.

Lichfield Arts

£500.00: Funding towards audience participatory activities aimed at engaging children in workshops beatboxing sessions, magic, decor creation, making wacky musical instruments, hip hop, storytelling, circus skills, sports and fitness as part of the FUSE Festival 2018.

Lichfield District Council

£500.00: Funding towards sound, stage, lighting, orchestra, performers, band, toilet facilities, fireworkds, security, first aiders, promotion, printing, equipment hire, PRS licence for the Proms in the Park community event.

Forest Harvest

£500.00: Funding towards compost, timber and plants for 2 raised beds for herbs and sensory plants, timber and plants for communal fruite beds and cut flower beds and wooden store for gardening equipment to engage children and less able gardeners to Dovehouse Community Garden set up in 2017.

St. Joseph's Pre-School

£486.94: Funding towards a Woodwork bench and vice, woodwork tools, welly stand, outdoor storage baskets, messy play tarpaulin sheets and Crayola broadline felt tips, to help with the children learn more from the outdoors.

MHA Lichfield & District Live at Home Scheme

£500.00: Funding towards transport costs for the assisted shopping service for the disabled enabling them to continue to shop for themselves and to socialise.

Lichfield Running Club

£300.00: Funding towards the overall costs of the Lichfield 10k Race and Fun run encourages families and young people to get involved in the biggest sporting events in the area.

Family Action - Lichfield

£200.00: Funding towards printing and information materials, storage boxes, tuff spots, mini book of ideas, resources for district box, replenish stock and marketing a wide approach to improve the outcomes set to improve various early years community groups, families and children of pre-school age to enhance the children's centre services and enable vulnerable families to access quality which will help children become school ready.

Lichfield Festival

£275.00: Funding towards materials to refurbish six Lichfield Festival Flagpoles, advertising boards at six entry points. The poles to be painted and flags replaced, new boards attached, to be used for the Festival and other event organisers in the future to advertise events across the city. 

Cruse Bereavement Support

£285.00: Funding towards the cost of trainer fees and expenses and room hire so that the volunteers can be trained on topics such as Safeguarding, mental health, attachment, theory, sudden and traumatic death and bereaved by suicide.

Three Spires (Afternoon) Townswomen's Guild

£320.00: Funding towards the costs of a guest speaker, room hire, promotional product to increase membership and a craft workshop. 

Lichfield and Hatherton Canal Restoration Trust

£2,800.00: Funding towards Excavating channel and surrounding ground, puddling clay for a waterproof base, concrete for a permanent bed, concrete blocks for retaining walls, disability resting points and a sign to publicise historical significance.
