I was first elected as County Councillor for the Leek South electoral division in May 2013.  

My division lies in the north of Staffordshire Moorlands and includes the wards of Leek West and parts of the wards of Leek East and Leek South and covers approximately 1056 hectares with a population of 14,965.

£1,000.00: Funding towards the design and printing of user friendly practical self help resources for children, young people and their families to use to support their children's mental health.

Leek Blues Festival

£2000.00: Funding towards artists fees, hire of equipment, promotion and publicity for the annual family friendly music festival featuring music festival featuring quality professional acts and young upcoming musicians as part of the weekend festival adding to the vibrancy of the town for local residents and increased visitors bringing benefits to local businesses.

Foxlowe Arts Centre

£1,000.00: Funding towards a programme of urgent external building works on the Grade II listed building of the Arts Centre. The opportunity to develop to use their skills in community arts outreach for new access to heritage, education and cultural regeneration to include equipment and materials for activities, evaluation, publicity, learning materials, exhibitions, creative writing, arts workshops and community play providing new opportunities.

Leek Rugby Club

£1,150.00: Funding towards new kit and equipment for training and matches to help set up a new girls rugby team for ages U11 and U15.

U3A Bowls Club

£1,000.00: Funding towards two new specialist long indoor bowls mats to help with the growing membership.

Support Staffordshire

£100.00: Funding to help keep three minibuses on the road that provides transport for local groups to enable their members to attend activities such as luncheon clubs.

Foxlowe Arts Centre

£850.00: Funding towards fire resistant lined curtains to front and rear of the Rainbow Room, replacement sub-woofer and A Board, removal of old flooring and replace with carpet and new solar powered fire exit sign to help improve the quality of sound when the Foxlowe films are being shown.

Action West End

£400.00: Funding towards Marquee Hire and transportation, event insurance and part of the cost for the portable toilet hire to hold the annual family fund day in Leek.

Tamworth Round Table

£500.00: Funding towards the rebuild of sleigh and replace the trailer to be used for a Sleigh appeal each evening in December within Tamworth to raise funds for the community groups for community events.
