I was first elected as County Councillor for the Cheslyn Hay, Great Wyrley and Essington Electoral Division in May 2017.  

This is a dual member division which I share with Councillor Bernard Williams. 

My division lies in the north east of South Staffordshire and includes the wards of Cheslyn Hay North and Saredon, Great Wyrley Town, Cheslyn Hay South, Great Wyrley Landywood, Featherstone and Shareshill and Essington Town and covers approximately 4372 hectares with a population of 29,865.

Family Action South Staffs

£125.00 Funding towards printing and information materials, storage boxes, tuff spots, mini book of ideas, resources for district box, replenish stock and marketing a wide approach to improve the outcomes set to improve various early years community groups, families and children of pre-school age to enhance the children's centre services and enable vulnerable families to access quality which will help with children to become school ready.

Cheslyn Hay Parish Council

£1,297.00:Funding towards a village noticeboard to keep the local residents up to date with village news and a metal soldier silhouette to be installed in Chapel Square as part of the WW1 centenary.

Wedges Mills Village Hall Committee

£2,000.00:Funding towards development of hall and grounds, a speed indication device, a secure cargo container, an electric Stihl strimmer, leaf blower, hedge trimmer and electric lawn mower.

The Village Pre-School

£800.00:Funding towards Christmas arts and crafts, Christmas trip, breakfast with santa, animal man entertainer, bikes and trampolines for the outdoor play area.

Cheslyn Hay Parish Council

£310.00:Funding towards a portable PA system with mic stand and speakers that will benefit the community at events like the carol service.

1st Cheslyn Hay Boys Brigade

£500.00:Funding towards a portable PA system with mic stand and speakers that will benefit the community at events like the carol service.

Cheslyn Hay Scouts

£300.00:Funding towards the cost of taking the young members on a teambuilding, self-confidence activity weekend holiday at Kingswood Centre Staffordshire.

Great Wyrley Parish Council

£517.00:Funding to replace the existing public address system which is now no longer fit for purpose to help market the Community Centre for social events.

Landywood and District Voluntary Help Centre

£803.00:Funding for installation of external security lighting, replace hinges and supporting area of existing fire door, materials purchased for internal building enhancements following the project and to purchase a new cooker to replace the old second-hand cooker.

Family Action 

£293.00:Funding to support the delivery of our Children’s Centre Volunteer led sessions enabling them to provide free of charge early learning opportunities to families locally helping children to become school ready whilst providing their own networks of support also providing good quality, district specific, information, advice and guidance for families with improved knowledge of what they can access to make families healthier and more independent.
