Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Stafford South East electoral division in May 2017.  

My division lies in the south of Stafford district and includes the wards of Baswich, Forebridge, Penkside and Weeping Cross and covers approximately 577 hectares with a population of 13,959. 

I am the County Council’s Mental Health Champion.

£1,220.00: Funding of publicity, hire of bouncy castle, climbing walls, vans for transport, first aid, face paints, craft materials and windmill broadcasting as part of the community picnic in the park event.

Au-SUMS

£250.00: Funding of the registration of ASDAN centre for 2 years, courses, workshops, course booklets, resource for approx 20 learners, sensory items for sensory room, delivery of sessions and activities for children and young people 7 - 17 years with autism spectrum conditions and their families and to work towards ASDAN awards.

Community Link Stafford & District

£500.00: Funding towards community link bus shoppers service for people with poor mobility to include wheelchair users to continue the bus service in the short term for Ten Butts, Hyde Lea, Coppenhall, Lodgefield Park and the Saltings within Stafford

Old Chapel Works

£250.00: Funding towards heavy wood sleepers for benches and raised beds, hire of specialist digging kit, wood screws, nails for sensory wall, daisy wall, insect hotel seeds, veggies and fertiliser, poster and flyers and refreshments for volunteers, workshop events and to clearing the disused area into a relaxing spot with bench and building raised beds to plant vegetables and run a horticulture outdoor classroom workshops.

Q in the Park

£250.00: Funding towards Banners, Sound Engineers, Fees for entertainers, and workshops for the Q in the Park Festival 2018.

Stafford Riverway Link 

£250.00: Funding towards cement, ballast, steel, weldmesh, timber materials for work and equipment hire to complete the connection with the Staffs and Worcs Canal and the town centre of Stafford for Stage 1 to complete the basin at Baswich which will also provide a footpath through a wildlife area to town.

Reach 2 Silkmore Academy

£1,000.00: Funding towards incline beam, zig zag balance, drop rope, wobble walk, crossed ropes, timber traverse panels, rope traverse and stepping stones for the installation of a trim trail supporting emotional, social, physical and mental support for all pupils and will be improved by using the facilities, also to be used by the community and the children's centre providing links with the school.

Rising Brook Baptist Church

£100.00: Funding towards a Fridge, a high performance cool box, fridge thermometer and folding table to help transport and store chilled fresh food to the foodbank.

Penkside Community Champions

£300.00: Funding towards the hire of a 53 seater coach to be able to take the Children and parents on a day trip to Blackpool to see the seaside and illuminations.

Baswich Community Group

£1,390.00: Funding towards hall hire for the Tuesday Open house club, group insurance, 2 newsletters and a floral display on Bodmin Avenue.

Baswich Canal Group

£200.00: Funding towards the purchase of stone for towpath surface to improve the footpaths.

Signpost Stafford Ltd.

£100.00: Funding towards equipment, craft essentials for relaxation activities.  Educational activities, travel costs and help towards activities for a day trip to London for the Star Maker's Girls Group.

Family Action

£234.00: Funding towards a fridge freezer and installation, to help store the food for the food bank. 

Baswich Community Group

£200.00: Funding to purchase Christmas lights and small gifts for the children who will be visiting Santa during the Christmas event.

Community Link Stafford & District

£300.00: Funding towards the community link bus service for Lodgefield Park and Dial a Ride in the North of Stafford.

Walton and Baswich Community Association

£650.00: Funding to replace a worn-out seating bench on Wildwood Drive that is used by the local community.

WHYCH

£206.00: Funding towards starting and development of allotment including poly tunnel, protective clothing and footwear.  Training workshops, craft and enterprise activities, sewing machine and tools, woodwork bench and tools including saw, hammer, drill, screws etc.

Rising Brook Baptist Church

£100.00: Funding towards postage of information and guidance to local community with help and support with queries around welfare benefits, housing, budgeting and employment by signposting to other relevant services.
