Introduction

I was first elected as County Councillor for the Brereton and Ravenhill electoral division in May 2013.  

My division lies in the north of Cannock Chase and includes the wards of Brereton and Ravenhill and Hagley and parts of the ward of Western Springs (the Western Springs South Parish ward) and covers approximately 785 hectares with a population of 12,445.

£750.00: Funding towards FOT 529 goals for 9 a side for football for ages 11 years upwards and FOT 530 goals for a 7 a side football for age 7 years and upwards

Rotary Club of Rugeley

£500.00: Funding towards an all-weather marquee for the secured outside area of Brereton Library to increase services and activities offered to the local community providing increased awareness of the library which would enable community groups ot also make use of the facility.

Lea Hall Miners' Welfare Centre

£1,000.00: Funding towards scaffolding tower and decorating materials, carpet, underlay and fitting for the refurbishment of the centre used by various sporting sections, traditional club teams and various other groups to include NHS blood and transport, Stroke Association, Phoenix Group, Alzheimer's society, Flower and Camera club and a number of other groups using the centre.

Hagley Bowls Club

£300.00: Funding of second hand short mat, block, delivery mats and score board, new match jacks, practice jacks, tape measures, calipers and assorted second hand indoor bowls during the winter months and encourage active all year round use.

Brereton and Ravenhill Association for Community Events

£2,000.00: Funding towards the procession, entertainment, prizes and trophies, park and hall hire, public liability insurance and St. John first aid cover for the Brereton Carnival with this year's theme being 'Bringing Books to Life'.

MHA Lichfield and District Live at Home Scheme, Rugeley

£500.00: Funding towards transport and volunteer expenses for the support of 50 older people in Rugeley offering a range of services in the home and community.

Brereton and Ravenhill Parish Council

£700.00: Funding towards the purchase of a Tractor Mounted Hedge Trimmer, to be able to cut the hedgerows and improve road visibility and safety.

Rugeley Lotto Events

£750.00: Funding towards a snow globe, fireworks, snow machines, street entertainers, santa's sleigh, market stalls, medics, two djs and insurance for the Christmas Lights switch on

Staffordshire Libraries South Central Cluster Cannock Chase

£448.00: Funding towards A boards, posters for A boards and per library, pull up/roller banners, A5 size leaflets, large banners, tablecloths, crockery and table vases for the launch of Places of Welcome at Cannock, Rugeley, Hednesford, Heath Hayes and Norton Canes Libraries who aim to provide everyone in their neighbourhood with a place to go for a friendly face, cup of tea and a conversation.

Hagley Bowls Club

£532.00: Funding to purchase a Spiking Roller and replacement spikes that will help in the aeriation of the playing surface and help in keeping the bowling green open for crown green bowling during the extended season.
