Baby Bounce and Rhyme and Storytelling
Your Library runs free Baby Bounce and Rhyme and Storytelling sessions| to help you to encourage your little one to foster a love of books and reading.
Time and again, we see that the babies and children who have taken part in these activities and have been used to coming into the library from a young age, are those who come in for topic books to help with homework and for books to read for pleasure.
This enthusiasm, which starts at such a young age, almost always continues into adulthood.
Set your child up for a lifetime of enjoyment today.
Baby Bounce and Rhyme
Most suitable for children aged 0 to 3
Join two members of staff as they sing rhymes and encourage your little one to play along with basic musical instruments such as tambourines, hand bells and drums.
These free, half hour sessions are not only great fun, playing musical instruments can help develop your baby's motor skills and getting together in a group is a great opportunity to socialise.

Storytelling
Most suitable for pre-school children
Storytime sessions take place in many Staffordshire libraries and usually follow on from Baby Bounce and Rhyme or are part of a craft session.
Popular children's stories are read by library staff and afterwards, children can get creative in a craft activity that relates to the story they listened to. You can find out about craft activities taking place in libraries at Staffordshire Connects.
