The Novels That Shaped Our World

Your chance to choose the novel that shaped your world

Staffordshire Libraries are working with BBC Arts to promote The Novels That Shaped Our World.

BBC-Novels-webpage-picStories have the power to change us. BBC Arts asked a panel of leading writers, curators and critics to choose 100 genre-busting novels that have had an impact on their lives, and this is the result. These English language novels, written over the last 300 years, range from children’s classics to popular page turners. Organised into themes, they reflect the ways books help shape and influence our thinking. There was months of deliberation and reflection by the panel and they finally came up with the list of 100 books.

Visit BBC Arts to see the list.

Inspired by The Novels That Shaped Our World, we would love to hear which is your favourite from the list of 100; which novel most shaped your world?

You can also tweet us  @StaffsLibraries using #MyBookLife

You have until 5pm on 30 June to tell us the novel from the list that changed your World. On 1 July we will announce the Staffordshire people’s choice results on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
