Growing Connections

Growing Connections is part of Culture Nature, a project developed by Natural England in partnership with Libraries Connected to support libraries to deliver projects which help communities build their connection with nature, how they think about, feel about, and experience nature.

Over Autumn/ Winter 2023/24, Biddulph Library is working with OUTSIDE (outsidearts.org) to encourage local groups & individuals to get connected to nature through a series of creative activities in their new library garden & local green spaces. They have developed a really exciting menu of activities for groups to discuss and choose from, including; wild singing, mindful drawing, willow weaving, land art, photography, foraging, cynotype printing etc.

At Perton Library, we are working with artists Juneau Projects, Perton Crafters, a Men in Sheds group and the local community to create a nature trail. We will be making habitats for creatures as well as fun and eye-catching displays of art and craft that celebrate nature and wellbeing.

People are invited to get hands-on helping to make different aspects of the trail.

To find out more about the activities starting in December, pop in to Perton or Biddulph Library.
