Crafting Communities

Making connections through craft in the community

Staffordshire Libraries and Arts Service have received funding from National Lottery funding through Arts Council England to deliver Artist-Maker Residencies in libraries across Staffordshire, crafting connections between libraries and communities.

Local Artist Makers will work with libraries across the county to form creative hubs that will use crafts and creativity to combat loneliness, bring people together, form social groups, share skills and promote wellbeing.

Residencies will take place at Perton, Rugeley, Barton Under Needwood and Blythe Bridge Libraries and are due to begin in September 2021.

More information about the project will be posted on our Libraries Activity Resource Website from August.
