People Services develops and leads the County Council’s people strategy focusing on our four main pillars - keeping and attracting talented people, promoting a positive working environment, developing skills for now and the future and developing leaders for now and the future.

The team deliver a range of people-related activity and projects across the Council, calling upon the talents of many different teams including Organisational Development, Reward, Workforce Development, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Resourcing and Health, Safety and Wellbeing. 

We have achieved much already, but there’s still plenty of work to do to continue to shape the development of the strategy and ensure our people are supported to develop, flourish and contribute to our ambitious plans.
