In November 2023, while many of us were gasping in delight at fireworks, writing our names in the air with sparklers or snacking on toasted marshmallows, Shannon and Aaron were preparing to welcome their first baby into the world.
Born just after Bonfire Night, Lily’s arrival was life-changing for the young couple.
Shannon said,
“Lily is my first child, and I didn’t really know anything about taking care of babies. Suddenly, I had this little person that I was responsible for, and I just wanted to do the best I could for her.”
Having heard about Hungry Little Minds during her pregnancy, Shannon signed up to receive the twice-monthly emails:
“Hungry Little Minds gives you a quick summary of things to try, to help you support your baby’s development at home. And it’s tailored to their specific age.
“Knowing what milestones I was looking for was so useful for me and it really helped me to settle into life as a first-time mum.”
The Hungry Little Minds team had the pleasure of spending some time with the young family at their home during the summer. And it wasn’t long before Lily was living up to her reputation of being outgoing and confident.
A natural in front of the camera and a born performer, Lily helped us get some fantastic photos and videos that we can use to tell everyone about Hungry Little Minds!
Shannon continued,
“Lily is nearly two years old, so we’re coming to the end of our Hungry Little Minds journey.
“It’s so useful for first time parents when you’re trying to find your way through. And it’s a great reminder for parents who already have older children. I’d recommend it to everyone, and I’ll sign up again if I have another baby.”
“I feel like with the support of Hungry Little Minds, I’ve been able to help Lily grow into the confident, lively little girl she is. She’s so funny and she makes friends really easily. I’m so proud of her.”
Hungry Little Minds is thrilled to have played a part in Lily’s journey so far, and we’re sure she’ll go on to do great things!
With a mum from Stafford and a dad from Stoke, the book/book debate is sure to feature heavily in the family’s house as Lily grows up. But we don’t offer guidance for that...
