Sarah and Alexander's story

In 2024, Sarah welcomed a new addition to her family, with the birth of baby Alexander. She is now mum to six children, from 18-years-old, to 13-months-old.

Sarah had already signed up to receive Hungry Little Minds emails for two-year-old Isla, after learning about the campaign on social media.

Sarah said,

“I’m keen to learn about what milestones to look out for and I love all the activities that are shared.

“I’ve already recommended Hungry Little Minds to some friends.

“Guidance changes all the time, so I’ve learnt things with Alexander that I didn’t know when I had my eldest children.”

Taking care of people has been a theme throughout Sarah’s life. In the early 2000s, she moved from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne to work as cabin crew for short haul airlines, based out of East Midlands Airport. For eight years, she looked after the needs of her passengers.

Redundancy in 2012 saw Sarah looking for a new line of work, and she thrived in her new role as a carer.

When the Hungry Little Minds team got in touch to ask Sarah to help us share the campaign with the people of Staffordshire, she jumped at the chance.

She’s no stranger to sharing her experiences of motherhood to help others. In 2009, she and baby Oliver took part in a campaign to promote breastfeeding at Cannock Chase Children’s Centre, now Cannock Family Hub.

Sarah added,

“Starting a family can be daunting and there are so many things to learn. If I can play a part in making other parents feel more comfortable as they settle into life with a new baby, I’m more than happy to help.”
