Swan Rake and Limers Rake, Hollinsclough

Staffordshire County Council Highways together with Amey are currently continuing with  safety critical and ancillary drainage works to Swan and Limer Rakes, Hollinsclough. These works entail improvements to existing drainage systems and safety critical repairs of the unsurfaced elements of both Rakes.

A consultation exercise is currently under review and further updates regarding future improvement works and consultation outcomes will be provided as they develop.

When are the works taking place?

Works re-commenced during May 2023.

What is the duration of the works?

The completion is programmed for approximately Autumn 2023.

Will I be able to access my home/business?

Residents and businesses will be advised of access details as the works progress which will be restricted/unavailable at certain times.

The current Swan Rake and Limer Rake closures will remain in operation for the duration to allow the works to take place.

What effect could the works have on me?

We take care to make sure that work is completed with the minimum of disturbance to the local community but as with any major works, it is expected that delays will be experienced.

How you can help us

You can help us to get the job done with the minimum of fuss by following this advice:

  • Please keep children away from the works to ensure their safety.
  • Always adhere to the road closures and diversions.
  • Please drive appropriately through the works.
  • Check your shoes before entering your property or car to make sure there is no construction material from the works.
