Easing of Coronavirus restrictions

Stafford Road, Uttoxeter

In relation to a new housing development in Uttoxeter it is necessary to allow for the construction of a new junction on the Abbots Bromley Road and improvements to the existing junction with the A518 Stafford Road. The extent of the works will include the construction of a new roundabout which will provide future access to the development as well as the signalisation of the road junction of the Abbots Bromley Road and Stafford Road.

When are the works taking place?

The works will start on 8th February 2021.

How long will the works take?

It will take approximately 16 weeks to complete the works.

Will I be able to access my home/business?

In order to undertake the works safely it will be necessary to provide traffic management throughout the duration of the construction which will include the full closure of the B5013 Abbots Bromley Road and temporary signals on the A518 Stafford Road. However, there is no intention to permanently restrict access to properties or businesses and we will do our utmost to work with individuals to limit this potential for any unnecessary disruption.

What effect could the works have on me?

Although we will endeavour to ensure that the works are completed in an expeditious manner and with the minimum amount of disruption, the nature of the works and their location means that there may be some traffic delays.

How you can help us
