  • Staffordshire County Council will shortly be carrying out significant works at Tutbury road, Needwood, as they start work on a £400,000 investment in the local area. The team will be replacing ironwork where necessary, replacing damaged kerbs and resurfacing the carriageway. The road will be closed between 5 lanes ends Needwood at Tutbury road to Tutbury road Anslow Road junction 

  • CX004 A511 Horninglow Road North, Burton on Trent - The team will be replacing ironwork where necessary, replacing damaged kerbs and resurfacing the carriageway.

  • Burton Town Deal – Active Travel Improvement Scheme -

    Following on from the successful delivery of Phase 1 of the Burton Town Deal Active Travel Improvement Scheme, which provided walking and wheeled improvements along Station Street from the junction of Guild Street to Burton railway station, we are now in a position to progress with Phase 2.

    Phase 2 looks to continue the route from Burton railway station along Borough Road to the Town Hall, before using the residential streets which run parallel with the A5121 to reach the A511 Horninglow Road.

  • A38 Branston Interchange Proposed Highway Improvements - Major improvements to the A38 Branston Interchange near Burton and linked roads. The proposed scheme, due to begin in January 2024 and reach completion in spring 2025

  • A5121 Derby Road, Burton on Trent - Staffordshire County Council will shortly be carrying out significant works at A5121 Derby Road, Burton on Trent as work commences on a £2,500,000 investment in the local area.

  • F0231 Yoxall (Trent) Footbridge, Burton Upon Trent - Staffordshire County Council Highways team is undertaking essential work to repair the undermining on the upstream training wall as a result of an embankment slip.

 

Recently Completed

  • A511 Ashby Road, Burton on Trent significant works at A511. The team will be addressing drainage systems, replacing ironwork where necessary, replacing damaged kerbs where necessary re-aligning the current layout and resurfacing the carriageway. This work will take place at the junction of A511 Ashby Road and Beaufort Road

  • B5017 Shobnall Road / Forest Road, Burton upon Trent - The works will see Amey Services Ltd working with Staffordshire County Council undertake several deep construction carriageway patches at five locations along both Shobnall Road and Forest Road. 

  • A5121 Claymills Interchange / Derby Road significant works to address damaged drainage systems, replace ironwork where necessary, replace damaged kerbs and resurface the carriageway.
