Statement of Reasons

This proposal forms part of the Staffordshire County Council’s commitment to the delivery of local member priorities identified through the Divisional Highway Programme.

The scheme which has the support of the County Councillor, Lichfield District Council and Lichfield City Council will look to provide a no waiting and no loading at any time parking restriction outside Samuel Johnson Community Hospital, Lichfield. These measures will remove inappropriate parking from the A5127 Trent Valley Road which currently inhibits traffic movements and creates a danger to pedestrians using the A5127.

The introduction of these measures will avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road, or any other road, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
