B5493 Ashby Road, No Mans Heath

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 propose to provide a Toucan Crossing on B5493 Ashby Road, No Mans Heath – located 40 metres to the south west from the exit of the roundabout junction with Meadow Way.

Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Tamworth Library, Corporation Street, Tamworth, Staffordshire.

Statement of Reasons

This proposal is required to improve road safety, and provide a crossing facility for pedestrians and cyclists. It is also a requirement to comply with planning conditions associated with the new development to the north of Ashby Road.

The proposal will facilitate safe crossing for pedestrians travelling to and from the new development which will comprise new housing, a primary school and local centre. The crossing will provide an essential and safe link to facilities provided by the development and existing facilities.
