Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Staffordshire County Council (Lichfield) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order No 1/2009 (Amendment) No. x/20xx

1. Staffordshire County Council propose to make a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce the following restrictions at the locations below:

-       No Waiting at Any Time on B5404 Lichfield Street, Fazeley

-       No Waiting at Any Time on Hints Road, Hopwas

-       No Stopping on Keep Clear Marking, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 9:30am and 3pm to 4:30pm, on School Lane, Hopwas

2.         Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Tamworth Library, Corporation Street, Tamworth, Staffordshire 

3.         Objections should be sent in writing to: Strategic Asset and Network Management, Highways, 2 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH or to: trafficregulationorderobjections@staffordshire.gov.uk

not later than 14^th July 2022 quoting reference HoCPS/TM/TR5/22 and stating the grounds on which they are made.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Staffordshire County Council (Lichfield) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order No 1/2009 (Amendment) No. x/20xx

The Staffordshire County Council  in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124(1)(d) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act of 1984") as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") as amended and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 hereby makes the following Order:-

1.         This Amendment Order shall come into operation on xx xxxx 20xx and may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Lichfield) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order No 1/2009 (Amendment) No. x/20xx                                                                               

2.         The above Order amends the Plans marked DA 274, CV 261, incorporating waiting restrictions at locations specified in the Schedule to this Order and which form part of the Staffordshire County Council (Lichfield) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order No 1/2009 and in substitution thereof and adds Plans marked CV 260.

 Statement of Reasons:

Hints Road, Hopwas - The proposal for an extension of the existing Parking restriction along C0312 Hints Road, Hopwas, Staffordshire aims prevent the inconsiderate parking of vehicles that obstruct the highway and is designed to declutter the road space to provide a safer environment for all road users.

B5404 Lichfield Street, Fazeley - The proposal for an extension of the existing Parking restriction along B5404 Lichfield Street, Fazeley, Staffordshire aims prevent the inconsiderate parking of vehicles that obstruct the highway and is designed to declutter the road space to provide a safer environment for all road users.

School Lane, Hopwas - The proposal for an extension of the existing Parking restriction along D3027 School Lane, Hopwas, Staffordshire aims prevent the inconsiderate parking of vehicles that obstruct the highway and is designed to declutter the road space to provide a safer environment for all road users.
