Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Staffordshire County Council (B5493 Ashby Road, No Mans Heath)

(30 and 40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2021

 

1. Staffordshire County Council on 02 February 2021 made a Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that imposed a 30 and 40 mph speed limit on B5493 Ashby Road, No Mans Heath.

2.  Documents may be examined at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders

3.  Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.

4. The Order will commence on 08 February 2021

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Staffordshire County Council (B5493 Ashby Road, No Mans Heath)

(30 and 40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2021

 

The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-

1. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph on the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Order.

2. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 mph on the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Order.

3. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

4. This Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (B5493 Ashby Road, No Mans Heath) (30 and 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2021 and shall come into operation on 08 February 2021

 

Schedule 1 (30 MPH)

B5493 Ashby Road, No Mans Heath - from the end of the existing 30mph speed limit for a distance of 540m to the East.

 

Schedule 2 (40 MPH)

B5493 Ashby Road, No Mans Heath – starting from a point 540 metres east of the existing 30mph speed limit for a distance of 420m to the East.
