Staffordshire County Council (Watery Lane, near Lichfield)
(30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 20**
- Staffordshire County Council propose to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to impose a 30 mph speed limit on Watery Lane, near Lichfield.
- Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Lichfield Library, The Guild of St Mary's Centre, Market Square, Lichfield
- Objections should be sent in writing to: Strategic Asset and Network Management, Highways, 2 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH or to: trafficregulationorderobjections@staffordshire.gov.uk not later than 22 December 2022 quoting reference HoCPS/TM/TR25/22 and stating the grounds on which they are made.

(30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 20**
The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-
- No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph on the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Order.
- No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
- This Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Watery Lane, near Lichfield) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 20** and shall come into operation on day of 20**.

Watery Lane, near Lichfield - from a point approximately 90 metres north of its junction with Vallentin Way and continuing to a point approximately 800 metres in a generally northerly direction

Statement of reasons:
This proposal is required for road safety reasons. There is a new development on Watery Lane which will increase the vehicle and pedestrian activity within the area and a lower speed limit will ensure the safety of all road users.
