Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Staffordshire County Council (Lichfield) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order No 1/2009 (Amendment) No. 48/2021

1. Staffordshire County Council on 30^th September 2021 made a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce No Waiting at Any Time on A5190 Lichfield Road, Mease Avenue and Norton Lane (Burntwood).

 2.  Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH, and during opening hours at Burntwood Library, Sankeys Corner, Bridge Cross Road, Burntwood, Staffordshire.

 3. Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.

 4. The Order will commence on 4^th October 2021

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Staffordshire County Council (Lichfield) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order No 1/2009 (Amendment) No. 48/2021

 The Staffordshire County Council  in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124(1)(d) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act of 1984") as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") as amended and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 hereby makes the following Order:-

 1. This Amendment Order shall come into operation on 4^th October 2021 and may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Lichfield) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order No 1/2009 (Amendment) No. 48/2021.

 2. The above Order amends the Plans which form part of the Staffordshire County Council (Lichfield) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order No 1/2009 by the addition of the Plans marked BZ 246 and BZ 247 incorporating waiting restrictions at locations specified in the following schedule.

 Statement of Reasons:

This Traffic Regulation Order is required to prevent users of the medical centre from parking on the A5190, allowing traffic to flow freely and to prevent visibility from being obstructed at the junctions with Mease Avenue and Norton Lane.
