Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Staffordshire County Council (A513 Croxall Road (Alrewas), A513 Croxall Road (Lichfield) and Croxall Road, (Croxall)) (40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2020

  1. Staffordshire County Council on 27 October 2020 made a Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that imposed a 40 mph speed limit on A513 Croxall Road (Alrewas), A513 Croxall Road (Lichfield) and Croxall Road (Croxall).
  2. Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Barton under Needwood Library, Dunstall Road, Barton under Needwood, Staffordshire, Lichfield Library, The Guild of St Mary’s Centre, Market Square, Lichfield, Staffordshire or at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders.
  3. Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.
  4. The Order will commence on 31 October 2020.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Staffordshire County Council (A513 Croxall Road (Alrewas), A513 Croxall Road (Lichfield) and Croxall Road, (Croxall)) (40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2020

The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-

  1. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 mph on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Order.
  2. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
  3. This Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (A513 Croxall Road (Alrewas), A513 Croxall Road (Lichfield) and Croxall Road (Croxall)) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2020 and shall come into operation on 31 October 2020.

Schedule

A513 Croxall Road, Alrewas – from a point 30 metres east of the roundabout with Barley Green Lane in an easterly direction to its junction with Croxall Road, Croxall.

A513 Croxall Road, Lichfield – from the centreline of the junction with A513 Croxall Road (Alrewas) and Croxall Road (Croxall) in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 110 metres.

Croxall Road, Croxall – from the centreline of its junction with A513 Croxall Road (Alrewas) and A513 Croxall Road (Lichfield) in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 216 metres.
