Provision of a Puffin and Toucan Crossing
A51 Friary Island and A51 Friary Road, Lichfield
Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 propose to provide a Puffin and Toucan Crossing in the following locations:
Puffin Crossing – located next to the south arm entry on A51 Friary Island, Lichfield
Toucan Crossing – located on A51 Friary Road at the mouth of the south entry arm.
Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Lichfield Library, The Guild of St Mary’s Centre, Market Square, Lichfield.

Statement of Reasons
The proposed signalised crossing is required in the interests of road safety to facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians crossing the Friary Road (A51) and the circulatory carriageway.
