Staffordshire County Council (A513 Elford Road and A513 Comberford Road, Comberford)

(40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2021

1.         Staffordshire County Council on 10 August 2021 made a Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that imposed a 40 mph speed limit on A513 Elford Road and A513 Comberford Road, Comberford.

2.         Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Tamworth Library, Corporation Street, Tamworth, Staffordshire or at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders.

3.         Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.

4.         The Order will commence on 16 August 2021

(40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2021

The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-

1.         No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 mph on the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Order.

2.         No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

3.         This Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (A513 Elford Road and A513 Comberford Road, Comberford) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2021 and shall come into operation on 16 August 2021.

Schedule

A513 Elford Road and A513 Comberford Road, Comberford – from a point approximately 270 metres north of its junction with Wigginton Lane, to a point approximately 396 metres south east of its junction with Wigginton Lane.
