Statement of Reasons

In 2014 planning permission was granted for a residential development on land at Dark Lane Alrewas for a total of 121 dwellings following an appeal to the Secretary of State. The planning permission requires the formation of a new junction to the public highway at Micklehome Drive. The proposed order extending both the 30mph speed limit and two-way traffic along Micklehome Drive allows the proposed access arrangement shown on the planning approval to be implemented safely accommodating the development traffic onto the local highway network.
