The figures below provide an indication of our performance in responding to defects on the highway and our historic carriageway condition.

The Road Condition Index (RCI) is an index published annually by the Department for Transport (DfT) and indicates the percentage of local authority principal A roads and non-principal B and C roads where maintenance intervention should be considered.

Our Emergency, Category 1 and Category 2 defect response times show our performance in responding to the highest risk defects on the network.
