Highway data team

The Highway Data team sits within our Highways and Built County area and carries out a variety of activities which support the highway functions delivered under our Infrastructure+ partnership with Amey, as well as a number of external organisations.

What does the team do?

The team includes a number of specialists who are responsible for the creation, collection, maintenance, interogation, processing and dissemination of a wide range of data concerning the highway. The team is made up of:

  • Highway records which maintains our highway information and provides services including CON29 & LLC1 highway searches, enquiries about highway extents and common land or village greens and the termination of highway rights

  • Traffic data which conducts and maintains a wide range of survey information relating to vehicle, cycle and pedestrian data including volumes, classification, speed, turning counts and parking movements

  • Local street gazetteer which manage and maintain the council's National and Local Street Gazetteer
