Highway data team

The Highway Data team sits within our Highways and Built County area and carries out a variety of activities which support the highway functions delivered under our Infrastructure+ partnership with Amey, as well as a number of external organisations.

What does the team do?

The team includes a number of specialists who are responsible for the creation, collection, maintenance, interogation, processing and dissemination of a wide range of data concerning the highway. The team is made up of:

  • Land Charges which provide our Official CON29 & LLC1 highway searches, information concerning highway extent request and support enquiries relating to common land and town/village greens, and the termination of highway rights (Stopping Up)

  • Traffic data which conducts and maintains a wide range of survey information relating to vehicle, cycle and pedestrian data including volumes, classification, speed, turning counts and parking movements

  • Local street gazetteer which manage and maintain the council's National and Local Street Gazetteer, as well as undertaking a range of data analysis and interogation projects that support the Infrastructure+ partnership with Amey
