Historic County Map Collection

This is a collection of six historic county maps, showing how Staffordshire changed over 200 years. The earliest map dates from 1607, and the latest from 1801, providing a fascinating insight into the changing art of map-making.

Maps included: Kip (1607); Speed (1610); Bowen (1749); Bickham (1754); Yates (1798); Smith (1801). The maps vary in size, from A4 to 53cm x 76cm.

The maps are accompanied by an A6 8-page booklet, providing background information on each map, including original publication dates and edition details.

This collection is presented in a map tube for easy storage.
